An elegant, refreshing low-ABV hybrid Martini/White Negroni riff from Nathan McCarley-O’Neill of NYC’s NoMad Bar 🥒🍈 The Blanc vermouth and white wine-based Aperitivo give a refreshing, slightly bittersweet base while allowing the cucumber and melon notes of the Aloe liqueur to shine through. The mezcal adds a bit of oomph, but there is not much of its smoke notes that remain after stirring to interfere with the refreshing flavors .75 oz Blanc/Bianco Vermouth (Dolin, Carpano, etc) .75 oz White Wine-based Aperitivo (Cocchi Americano works well, Lillet Blanc or Kina L’Avion would also sub well) .75 oz Mezcal (Espadin variety) .25 oz Chareau Aloe Vera liqueur (has distinct cucumber and melon (honeydew/cantaloupe) notes) 1 dash Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with oil expressed from a grapefruit twist (discard twist)
