Like the talented Tracy Jordan, the lime and grapefruit here are multi-talented and bridge riffs on the Margarita, the Hemingway Daiquiri, the highball, and the Radler The tropical and slightly vegetal notes in the blanco tequila and smoke notes in the mezcal provide a flavorful base that complements the citrus flavors while the grapefruit notes of the Simcoe hops in the West Coast IPA accents all flavors nicely while also contributing great aroma and nice effervescence and the Tiki bitters add a hint of ginger and cinnamon 1.5 oz Blanco Tequila (100% blue agave, accept nothing less) .5 oz Mezcal (Espadin variety) 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Grapefruit Liqueur (Giffard) .25 oz Agave Syrup 2 dashes Bittermens Elemakule Tiki bitters Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 1.5 oz West Coast IPA (Simcoe or similar hops work great with the grapefruit). Garnish with a swizzle stick
