Dusty Flamingo and the Hillbilly Lobo

A delicious and tropical daiquiri variation from the current menu at Lost Lake in Chicago
The combination of honey and coconut lends a multi-layered sweetness to the drink that, when combined with the dry, nutty accents from the Fino sherry lingers after each sip. The mezcal gives a hint of smoke while the aged tequila gives a nice base and the lime lightens things up
1 oz Reposado Tequila
.5 oz Mezcal
.5 oz Fino Sherry (drier sherry that still brings subtle nutty flavor)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Honey Syrup (2 parts honey: 1 part warm water)
.25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani)
Shake with ice, strain into a footed pilsner glass with crushed ice. Feel free to garnish with umbrella, orchid, decorative swizzle
