Dusk at Cubist Castle

A summer Negroni riff that brings the smoke and strawberry 🍓 The fresh strawberry flavor is carried through by the vermouth and works nicely with the bittersweet notes in the Campari while the touch of coconut adds a deeper sweetness and steers the gin botanicals in a tropical direction. Spritzing the top with Islay Scotch adds another dimension with a smoky aroma Muddle 2-4 strawberries (depends on size; hull and cut in half) in .25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani) Add: 1 oz Gin (variety that is not too juniper forward is best) 1 oz Campari (feel free to sub favorite red Aperitivo of choice) .75 oz Blanc/Bianco Vermouth (Dolin or Carpano) 2 dashes Rhubarb Bitters (Crude makes my favorite) Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Spritz top of drink with Islay Scotch added to an atomizer (1-2 pumps)
