Daaaa-rryl, Daaaa-rryl

A 🍓-accented riff on a Sour that is very refreshing as the weather heats up A bit of strawberry liqueur is added to the freshly muddled strawberries to boost the berry flavor while the stone fruit liqueur, vanilla notes in the bourbon, and pepper notes in the rye/bitters are all complementary. The lemon brightens the drink and adds tartness Muddle 2-4 strawberries (depends on size; hull and cut in half) in .25 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2:1) Add: 1.5 oz Bourbon .5 oz Rye Whiskey (peppery vs floral is preferable, but both probably work well) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .25 oz Apricot Liqueur (Rothman & Winter, Giffard) Barspoon Strawberry Liqueur (Giffard) 2 dashes Bitter End Chesapeake Bay or Crude Rhubarb Bitters Pinch of salt Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with a strawberry and sprig of fresh mint
