Cruiseship Willie

A tropical, lightly floral Manhattan variation built on the scaffold of Dennis Gobis’ tasty Bjorn Supremacy The roasted pineapple notes from the liqueur play nicely with the peat from the blended scotch while the bittersweet Malort brings floral notes that also works with the blended malt and the bitters bring some subtle spice notes 1.5 oz Blended Scotch (a bottle that has some discernible peat notes like the Great King St Glasgow Blend works best) .5 oz nicer Malort (Swedish bittersweet spirit; Few Anguish & Regret, Letherbee Besk or Baska Snaps are best. Avoid Jeppson’s) .5 oz Pineapple Liqueur (might be able to sub pineapple gomme syrup) 2 dashes Aromatic Bitters of choice (I like Abbott’s) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish
