Crowns for Kings

A refreshing riff on the whiskey sour that is like enjoying a boozy Arnold Palmer in the tropics 🏝🥭🍍🍯 The oak and vanilla notes in the bourbon provide a sturdy base that is accented with notes of roasted pineapple (from the rum), bergamot from the Earl Grey tea syrup, passionfruit from the liqueur and pineapple and mango notes in the fruited sour. The lemon adds bright citrus that is balanced by the deep sweetness of the honey syrup to result in a very tasty and flavorful sipper 1.5 oz Bourbon (Elijah Craig, Buffalo Trace, etc) .5 oz Plantation Stiggins Fancy Pineapple Rum .5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .5 oz Earl Grey Tea Syrup (brew a 4 oz cup of Earl Grey tea and strain; add an equal volume of granulated sugar; stir until sugar has dissolved) .25 oz 2:1 Honey Syrup (Mix two volumes of honey to one volume of warm water; stir until uniform) Tsp Passionfruit Liqueur (Giffard; can also sub Passionfruit Syrup from Small Hand Foods or similar) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 2 oz of tropical fruit forward sour/tart ale (Great Notion Fruit Monster with pineapple and mango here). Garnish with a swizzle stick
