Crown Chelsea

A full-flavored, easy-drinking Old Fashioned riff from Meaghan Dorman of NYC’s Raines Law Room with excellent autumn/winter flavor accents 🍂☃️🥃 The molasses and brown sugar notes in the blended aged rum complement the cinnamon/vanilla/oak notes in the bourbon very well. The addition of splashes of orgeat and allspice liqueur lend additional flavors of nuts and baking spice (spice notes also boosted by the Angostura). Great in this format but could also picture slightly tweaking to hot toddy format to sip next to the fire 1.5 oz Bourbon (vanilla and baking spice notes of Elijah Craig are nice here) .5 oz Blended Aged Rum (El Dorado 12 yr; but Diplomatico would also sub well) Tsp Orgeat (Small Hand Foods) Tsp Allspice Liqueur (St Elizabeth, Dale Degroff) 2 dashes Angostura bitters Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Can garnish with orange twist studded with cloves if handy
