Coffey Park Swizzle

A variation on the classic Queen’s Park Swizzle from Alex Day of many Proprietors LLC bars in NY and LA
The nutty sherry and ginger bite really enhance this refreshing rum and citrus drink
1 oz Barbancourt Rum
1 oz Amontillado Sherry (nutty, but not overly sweet)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.75 oz Ginger Syrup (juice 1 hand ginger; add two volumes granulated sugar to 1 part ginger juice, stir until dissolved)
.25 oz Velvet Falernum (rum based liqueur with clove, allspice, lime zest notes)
Shake with 1-2 small pieces of ice (called whipping) until incorporated (eg no sound from ice on shaker), strain into pilsner glass with crushed ice. Add 3 dashes Angostura to top and swizzle until frost forms on glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint
