A tropical, savory Daiquiri riff from Death & Co LA with notes of citrus, rum funk, roasted banana, and green chile 🍹🍌🌶 The blended lightly aged rum and Haitian sugarcane rum (Clairin) form a base with notes of citrus zest, grassy sugarcane and a hint of briny funk from the Clairin that work well with the savory vegetal/spice notes in the green chile vodka. Bright, tart lime juice helps these flavors pop while the sweet tropical fruit notes of the banana liqueur provide a pleasant counterpoint 1 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (The Column and pot still combination in Foursquare’s Probitas are nice here but Plantation 3 Star or similar would also work) .5 oz Clairin Vaval (Haitian sugarcane Rhum; the Vaval has more savory notes that complement the green chile) .5 oz St George Green Chile Vodka (infused with jalapeño, serrano, poblano chiles and cilantro) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard or Tempus Fugit) Pinch of salt Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
