Charlie Don’t Surf

A refreshing daiquiri riff with hints of smoke and baking spice The agave and lime flavors shine through with the bit of mezcal adding a whisper of smoke to each sip while the roasted pineapple and cinnamon notes from the liqueur and syrup add some depth and prevent the drink from being too tart 1.5 oz Blanco Tequila (anything you like, provided its 100% agave and unaged, should work well) .5 oz Mezcal (espadin) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .25 oz Pineapple Liqueur (Giffard makes a nice version) .25 oz Cinnamon Bark Syrup (Crush 3-4 cinnamon sticks, add 1/2 C each granulated sugar and water; stir on medium low heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is about to boil; lower heat and simmer 4-5 minutes before straining out cinnamon bark) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
