Cardamom

A Daiquiri variation featuring intriguing herbal and spice notes from NYC drink wizard Thomas Waugh
The refreshing rum and lime base is supplemented with cardamom spice which is boosted by the complex herbal sweetness of the Chartreuse and vanilla syrup and a bit of funky rhum agricole
2 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, Cana Brava, El Dorado 3 yr)
.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Green Chartreuse
.5 oz Vanilla Syrup (1:1 simple syrup with 1/2 to 1 split vanilla bean with seeds scraped out into syrup; simmer for 5 minutes; strain out vanilla bean pod)
.25 oz Rhum Agricole (La Favorite, Neisson, Rhum JM)
2-3 dashes Scrappy’s Cardamom Bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lime wheel with the top half dusted with ground cardamom
