A refreshing traditional Cuban proto-daiquiri that is excellent as the weather warms up The honey and lemon provide a nice sweet/sour backing flavor that works great with the sugarcane based aguardiente with its slightly anise and fresh grass notes in addition to the fresh cane 2 oz Aguardiente (Paranubes; can sub a lightly aged Cuban style rum like Diplomatico Planas or Cana Brava if Paranubes isn’t available) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .5 oz Honey Syrup (2 parts honey: 1 part warm water) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. No garnish
