Burning Love

A wintry, alpine Last Word variation from NYC’s Sother Teague that plays with 🔥 The juniper and botanical notes in the gin pair very well with the pine-y alpine liqueur and the aroma of burning thyme while the maraschino brings a nuanced sweetness with hints of marzipan and the lime brings a fresh, tart note to balance the drink 1 oz Gin (a citrus forward bottle like Plymouth or Four Pillars is best) .5 oz Maraschino Liqueur (Luxardo, Leopold Brothers, etc) .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice Add .5 oz of Genepy Alpine Liqueur to a chilled rocks glass with a sprig of fresh thyme; using a long match, ignite the thyme/Genepy and immediately begin shaking the remaining ingredients with ice, after 10-15 seconds of shaking, dump drink (including ice) over the burning liqueur/thyme to douse the flame.
