Brown Bomba

A funky, tropical daiquiri riff from NYC’s Shannon Mustipher that is great to sip on a tasty long weekend 🍌🏝 The funky tropical aromas and molasses notes in the pot still Jamaican rum combine with the drier honey and cereal grain notes in the Irish whiskey to form a delicious foundation that is complemented by the ripe banana flavor and chocolate/baking spice notes in the bitters. The tamarind brings an intriguing tart/sweet note that combines with the lime to give some zing to the drink
1 oz Irish Whiskey (Writer’s Tears, Prizefight, Redbreast, etc)
1 oz Pot Still Jamaican Rum (Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still Black, Coruba, etc)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Honey Syrup (2 parts honey: 1 part warm water)
.25 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard, Tempus Fugit)
.25 oz Tamarind Syrup (Caged Heat)
2 dashes Chocolate Mole Bitters (Bittermens, Scrappy’s, Miracle Mile, etc)
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled footed pilsner glass with crushed ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and a swizzle stick
