Born Under Punches

A tropically tinged Daiquiri riff that could be your new answer to what you’d do with guava... The hybrid pear/strawberry notes in the guava work really nicely with the tropical fruit notes in the blended lightly aged rum and the oak/banana notes in the aged cachaca. The cinnamon notes in the Becherovka and Tiki bitters provide some pleasant spice accents for the tropical fruit that also work well with the lime and grapefruit liqueur Muddle flesh from one ripe guava in .25 oz Rich Simple or Cane Syrup Add: 1 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, El Dorado 3, Diplomatico Planas, etc) .5 oz Aged Cachaca (Brazilian sugarcane spirit; Avua Amburana is my favorite aged version) .5 oz Becherovka (Czech liqueur with cinnamon and clove notes) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .25 oz Grapefruit Liqueur (Giffard) 1 dash Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
