Beach House Gimlet

A tart, savory gimlet/daiquiri riff from Shannon Ponche with notes of citrus, green chile, and a hint of roasted banana 🍹🌶🍌 The juniper and other botanical notes in the gin combine with the green chile flavors in the vodka to create a base with herbal, savory, and citrus notes that complement the bright lime juice. A splash of banana liqueur and some rich simple syrup helps balance the drink while the dash of Absinthe helps accentuate the herbal notes. Very refreshing 1.25 oz London Dry Style Gin (Beefeater, Tanqueray, Four Pillars Rare Dry, etc) .75 oz St George Green Chile Vodka (vodka infused with poblano, jalapeño, serrano chiles and cilantro; excellent in savory + citrus drinks) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2 parts unrefined sugar of choice to 1 part water; stir until sugar has dissolved) Teaspoon Banana Liqueur (Giffard or Tempus Fugit) 1 dash of Absinthe (Herbsaint also works) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish
