Autumn Cobbler

A variation on the traditional Sherry Cobbler that brims with fall flavors from Chantel Tseng of DC's Mockingbird Hill and Reading Room The chai tea-maple syrup adds spice and sweetness to the nutty sherry while the garnish is aromatic and tasty 3 oz Oloroso or Medium Sherry .5 oz Chai Tea-Maple Syrup (2 parts maple syrup to 1 part warm Chai tea) Stir with ice and pour into a rocks glass with crushed ice. Garnish with a slice of persimmon, brandied cherry, sprig of fresh mint, and dusting of fresh grated nutmeg
