Alpine Negroni

An herb and spice forward Negroni variation from Naren Young of NYC’s excellent Dante to ring in Negroni Week The juniper and other botanicals in the gin are joined by mountain herbs, flowers, and bitter Gentian and quinine from the Suze, Genepy, and Cocchi Americano. Subtle notes of mint, lemon, and rosemary are also added to the mix in this delightful sipper 1 oz Gin .75 oz Suze (French digestif with bitter and floral notes along with bright yellow color) .75 oz Cocchi Americano (Piedmontese White Wine further fortified with botanicals and spices) .5 oz Genepy (herbal Alpine Liqueur) 1 barspoon mint tincture or Creme de Menthe 3 dashes Bitter Truth Lemon or Bitter End Moroccan Bitters Pinch of salt Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with a rosemary sprig
