Ainโt No Thang

A refreshing, summery Daiquiri riff highlighting flavors of watermelon, citrus, cucumber, and a touch of roasted corn ๐น๐๐๐ฅ
The blend of roasted corn-infused Mezcal, unaged cachaca, and Manzanilla sherry results in a base with notes of citrus zest and hints of green apple, roasted corn along with some tropical fruit and floral aromas. These flavors work very well with the melon notes (cantaloupe in the aloe liqueur and watermelon from the syrup) and citrus (lime juice). The subtle cucumber notes in the aloe liqueur are boosted by the cucumber bitters and complement the melon, citrus, and roasted corn flavors. A great drink to ring in the beginning of summer!
1 oz roasted corn-infused Mezcal (Vago Elote; an Espadin variety subs relatively well if you donโt have the Elote option)
.5 oz Unaged Cachaca (Avua Prata, Novo Fogo Silver, etc)
.5 oz Manzanilla Sherry (dry Spanish fortified wine with white wine, green apple, saline notes)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Fat .5 oz Watermelon Syrup (equal volumes (1/2 C) watermelon juice and granulated sugar; stir until sugar has dissolved and add 1 Tsp vodka)
.25 oz Chareau Aloe Liqueur (cucumber and cantaloupe notes)
1 dash Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters
Pinch of salt
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lime wedge
